CE 5001 A Go Digital: The basics of developing practical skills to engage in today’s digital world.
These six workshop sessions are designed to expose you to the basics of how to use these tools in your personal life or small business and to navigate some of the benefits and challenges in each digital platform.
CE 5001 A 1 October 15: Get Exposed to Social Media: Facebook
Whether you are a social media guru or didn’t know Facebook existed till yesterday, this class will provide you with a solid foundation to jump right in and get posting those photos and connecting with friends. There is no pre-assumed knowledge of Facebook required for this class.
CE 5001 A2 October 22: Get Exposed to Social Media: Twitter
Whether you are a constant tweeter or thought tweeting was only for birds, this class will provide you with a solid foundation of Twitter so that you can start to share your world with others. There is no pre-assumed knowledge of Twitter required for this class
CE 5001 A3 October 29 & November 5: Get Exposed to Digital Photography
Your camera can be your best friend when you know how to use it properly. Satisfy your weekend paparazzi urges with this two night class; essential for all photographers from your weekend enthusiast to those pursuing a career in photography. This class will equip you with the basic essential tools and knowledge to transform your camera from that complicated device to an extension of your creative mind. This class assumes ownership of a digital SLR camera.
CE 5001 A4 November 12: Get exposed to Digital Video on your DSLR and Vimeo/Youtube
Everyone and their dog is a professional videographer with the new digital cameras out today. The problem is that many people have blurry footage, or they just don’t know how to get things off of the camera and onto youtube. This class provides you with basic skills on composition, lighting, how to export your video, basic editing software choices and more. This class is based on Apple software, but is open to Windows users. This class assumes ownership of a digital SLR camera with video capabilities.
CE 5001 A5 November 19: Get Exposed to Blogging
Blogging takes many forms from your weekend column writer, to your eccentric enthusiast, to the documentation of your family travels and adventures, or the latest flavour of cupcake offered in your home based cake decorating business. This class will teach you what blogging is and how you can start blogging confidently and nurture your inner blogger. There is no pre-assumed knowledge about blogging needed for this class.
